    2016 SAC Official Test
The 2016 Suzuki Asian Challenge (SAC) started as the official testing began at Johor Circuit in Malaysia. SAC is Suzuki’s rider development program for Asian riders, using a single platform Suzuki FU150, and is operated in the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship. Thee rider’s will have equal chance to learn, grow not only on track but off track as well. The program is designed to develop Asian riders so that one day they will be a competitive rider in MotoGP™. In its second season, 17 riders from 9 countries attended the test, also being the final selection process for the riders.

In a perfect but humid day at Johor, the riders took out the Suzuki FU150’s for the first time on the Johor track. General Manager, Yukio Kagayama, briefed the riders. All riders did perfectly well as told, without any riders falling, nor were there any technical trouble on the Suzuki FU150’s.

In the afternoon session, the riders showed improvement, most of them slicing their laptime by close to two seconds.

Official testing will continue tomorrow, and Round 1 of the 2016 season will be held March 31st to April 2nd, at Johor Circuit.
