  • 2018-2019 EWC Suzuka 8 hours Endurance Race, Change of Riders Announcement

     

    TK SUZUKI BLUE MAX hereby announces the change of riders for the 2018-2019 FIM Endurance World Championship Grande Finale The 42nd “Coca-Cola” Suzuka 8 hours Endurance Race, schedule for July 25th-28th, 2019 at Suzuka Circuit.

    As announced announced earlier, team’s regular rider in Japanese Championship, Takuya Tsuda retains his entry, while 2nd rider has been changed to Azlan Shah Kamaruzaman, a Malaysian star rider, who has experience in both the Suzuka 8 hours and the Moto2™️ World Championship. Experienced French, Gregory Leblanc has been invited as 3rd rider to the team. Leblanc has experience in EWC, as well as the Suzuka 8 hours. With the addition of Kamaruzaman and Leblanc, the team has now a more powerful rider lineup to this year’s challenge to the Suzuka 8 hours.

    Naomichi Uramoto, who was originally registered, will continue to concentrate in the Spanish Superbike Championship (ESBK) where he races full time, and will race at the Round 4 of the Championship at Motorland Aragon, which happens to be scheduled on the same weekend as the Suzuka 8 hours race.

    This year will be the team’s 7th consecutive challenge to this prestigious event, and will fight to be back on the podium again.

    I am very happy to ride for Kagayama-san. This is a great opportunity for me to gain valuable experience. I am happy to return to the 8 hours. My memories here in Suzuka have been very beautiful and I hope to be able to repeat good results for the team. Suzuka has always been one of my favorite track and I would like to thanked Kagayama-san for giving me this opportunity. Lastly, I would also like to thanked all sponsors of the team.
