Team KAGAYAMA SUZUKI Asia, All ready for the season opener
Team KAGAYAMA SUZUKI Asia finished its three-day testing schedule at Johor Circuit in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia. The team attended the official pre-season testing organized by the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) at this track where the season opener will be held in one-week time.
#41 Noriyuki Haga continues with the team, and #98 Patis Chooprathet joins the team, being the first rider to step up to this top category in Asia from SUZUKI ASIAN CHALLENGE, a rider development program directed by General Producer Yukio Kagayama. Kagayama have also taken the role of Team Manager for the team this year.
The Supersports 600 category, where the team will be racing in, have switched to slick tires from this season. The team while acquiring data from slick tires runs, both riders continued to fine-tune the set-up for the race weekend. Although there were minor incidents, the team concluded the three-day test with all scheduled menu done.
While the two riders and Kagayama returned home, the mechanics have opted to stay in Johor, to make final preparation for the opening round.
The season opener of FIM Asia Road Racing Championship is scheduled for March 31, 2016 – April 2, 2016 at Johor Circuit.
